SVB: What is your biggest skin care issue and what do you think I could help you with most?
MK: Breakouts and how I can prevent myself from breaking out with little tiny, really tiny, pimples that show up.
SVB: Are you in tune with your body enough where you can feel when your body is talking to you and can feel when something is about to happen?
MK: Not really, I don't break out when I'm stressed out. Sometimes it just kind of happens. It's usually weather conditions that does it for me – when it goes from one extreme to another. That's when it usually happens.
SVB: How about when you're flying. Do you get dehydrated?
MK: Yeah. That does it too, I'm always on a plane and I hate water.
SVB: Is that because you don't like the taste?
MK: Yeah, I drink it, but I like this better (drinking borba clarifying skin balance water)
SVB: Because it's flavored?
MK: Yes
SVB: When you first tried BORBA Skin Balance Water, when you stopped drinking it did you feel like you wanted it again?
MK: Yes! Of course.
SVB: That's your body talking to you. So what are your favorite foods?
MK: Ohh… Everything
SVB: You want something to add to your diet to help your skin naturally look perfect?
MK: Right. But I naturally eat pretty healthy. I love vegetables. I love everything healthy. I'm not like a big greasy eater. I do love chocolate, not sure if that's bad or not.
SVB: Oh my gosh see the red chocolate bar up there? (points to shelf). It's the first ever anti-acne chocolate bar.
MK: Is it like those gummi things?
SVB: Yeah, but it's an anti-acne chocolate bar.
MK: I think that's great. I would eat that.
SVB: It's 88% bio coco fermented.
MK: Is it dark chocolate?
SVB: Yes, but it tastes like milk chocolate.
MK: I love Dark Chocolate!
SVB: Really? Well this tastes like milk chocolate is that ok?
MK: I love, LOVE, chocolate. Chocolate is Chocolate.
SVB: Do you feel that there might be some factors we haven't discussed that contribute to your poor skin episodes?
MK: Products. I'm not a big stress breaker outer. But I do breakout from products and environment.
SVB: Do you read the panels?
MK: Oh yes of course. Now I know what I can wear and can't.
SVB: Who trained you on that?
MK: Tracey (her make up artist) She's an amazing make up artists. She gets films so she knows how to manipulate skin look flawless on camera.
SVB: And that's where I think I come in to help make make up artists job so much easier.
MK: Oh yeah it does. Cleaner pores, nicer skin, less work for them.
SVB: Do you have any other skin issues besides acne? Have you had issues like dark circles under eyes, discolorations, wrinkles?
MK: Yeah. Not yet wrinkles. I haven't hit the wrinkles yet. If I have them, I'm in denial.
SVB: Are you preventing it at all?
MK: I wear… How do you prevent wrinkles?
SVB: You can treat the onset of wrinkles with moisturization and SPF and help relieve them the same way.
MK: Well I do use eye cream.
SVB: How about discoloration?
MK: Oh yeah, I am hyper pigmented. When most people get a pimple it will go away and skin will go back to a natural color, well mine will darken.
SVB: That's ok I have a great product for this called the HD-Illuminating Plasma Crystals that will take care of this issue. It's got lactic acid that will help fade it very quickly.
How does your skin affect you?
MK: When my skin is clear and healthy, I wake up and am completely happy and don't have to cover anything up. I do believe that a healthier skin from the inside out makes you a happier person.
SVB: That's like my company slogan! Awesome.
SVB: Does your skin make you feel more confident in your personal life?
MK: I think it's ok to have dents and flaws , but too many get in the way. Skin is one of the first things people see, which can be sad and unfortunate, but that's just the way it is.
SVB: What would your best skin care tip be?
MK: Wash your face before you go to bed. And double your pillow cases. I learned that early. That and change them regularly.
SVB: How many extra steps would you take to get good looking skin? Does it take you an hour, or thirty seconds…?
MK: I would probably be somewhere in between that. However, If I didn't do what I do for a living, I'd probably be 30 seconds.
SVB: What skin care item do you always carry with you?
MK: ***** Lip Balm
SVB: You know that's petroleum based. You know that wont allow your skin to breathe. It's a barrier and helps to crack your lips.
MK: So what should I use?
SVB: You want something that's shay butter, or avacado oil. Now based on my philosophies and what we talked about for inside-out beauty and knowing that you need to heal yourself from the inside out you'll find that that's the true beauty. It doesn't matter if it's from my line or someone elses'. Have you heard about this before?
MK: Yeah, It completely makes sense. You're so inspirational and I think you're fantastic.
